About re-keying

Beginning March 1, 2006, we will be charging tenants a re-key fee for all new leases. What this means is, when you move into one of our managed properties, the only people with keys to your unit will be Coldwell Banker Best Sellers and you- not former tenants.

Re-keying a rental unit is the law in some states. While it isn't in Nevada, it only makes sense to make sure that new tenants have a fresh set of keys

At the same time, the locksmith will check the condition of the locks and make sure the unit can be properly secured.

†Through a special agreement with Alpine Lock of Carson City, most of the units we rent can be re-keyed for only $60.00 - a $40.00 service call and $10.00 per lock. Some properties may have more than two locks that need to be changed, and therefore may cost a little more.
